Say hello to our new Rivers Range of Cutlery

Inspired by the landscape of South Yorkshire which Grunwerg has called home for over 75 years, our new ‘Rivers Range’ of cutlery features 10 different collections all made from quality 18/10 stainless steel with a 3.5mm gauge.

Our Rivers designs reflect the natural beauty of the babbling brooks, stunning streams and rolling rivers which form the main geographical features of Sheffield and our home county. Indeed with 25 rivers in total covering the whole of Yorkshire, we couldn’t help but feel inspired to design and craft a collection which felt representative of our roots, and gave us the opportunity to pay homage to the nature and beauty which makes up our surrounding area.

With four of our Rivers ranges having just arrived it’s the perfect time to find out more about the Barlow, Derwent, Dron and Rivelin collections and how these exquisitely designed cutlery sets can add the perfect finishing touch to your dining experience.

With rounded ends and a unique dappled effect, Barlow is a collection which is sure to turn heads. Reflecting the raw nature of the Barlow Brook which runs just past Grunwerg its hammered, high polished finish is reminiscent of light bouncing from water and rocks when winter weather is more turbulent and the Brook threatens to flood.

Derwent has been designed to feature an organic flared leaf shape which reflects the flora and fauna found in nature whilst Drone also has an naturalistic feel with a curved end shape that is innately minimal yet tactile and smooth. Rivelin features a unique pentagon design to give the appearance of a faceted, industrial shape that represents strength and weight. With a namesake that powered the very first industrial forges of Sheffield its only right that our Rivelin collection feels powerful and strong to the touch.
