Saturday the 18th marks a brand-new national holiday celebration – National Hospitality Day!
The last 18 months have been an immensely challenging time for us all, particularly for the Hospitality industry, with restaurants, pubs, bars, hotels, and venues seeing long closures and a constant existential threat. As too have those that supply them: farmers, brewers, manufacturers, and distributors.
National Hospitality Day is launched as a nationwide celebration of our brilliant and resilient restaurants, hotels, pubs, and bars, and of course the suppliers that support them all too!
To support and celebrate the industry, what the National Hospitality Day is asking the nation to do, is to go out to help out! This is our chance for the nation to say “welcome back – we’ve missed you” and thank all those hospitality workers that help us enjoy our lives and play out those life worth living moments.
Are you a business that wants to fundraise?
Fundraising for National Hospitality Day is simple. All you need to do is head to this page here, download, print off and display their poster, talk to customers and encourage them to donate on their phones!
Hospitality Action Partner with National Hospitality Day
Grunwerg has always been a strong supporter of Hospitality Action, with Director David Grunwerg recently donating a percentage of Grunwerg sales made at Exclusively Housewares to the Charity. In addition, on March the 18th, to mark the one-year anniversary of the first national Covid-19 lockdown, Hospitality Action launched a brand-new cookbook ‘Chefs at Home’. The book featured 54 of the UK’s most-loved chefs, including Jamie Oliver, Tom Kerridge, Raymond Blanc and Angela Hartnet.
To celebrate the launch and show our support, Director David Grunwerg very kindly ordered a copy of the book for our friends and each member of staff, to help play our part in the recovery and rehabilitation of the Hospitality sector.
If you would like to show your support for the industry and ways to fundraise, check out National Hospitality Day and Hospitality Action , and don’t forget to Go Out, to Help Out this weekend!
