Global Knives Makes It Into the finals of Excellence in Housewares Awards 2015
Global Knives has made it into the finals of one of the most prestigious awards in the housewares industry, having been placed in the icon award category for its timeless design and incredible performance.
The Excellence in Housewares Awards, now in its 16th year, are organised by Progressive Housewares magazine in conjunction with the Cookshop and Housewares Association. The Awards recognise and reward the UK’s very best new housewares products, as well as reflecting classic kitchenware with an Icon Award.
The finalists including Global were decided on by an impressive panel of 30 top retail judges from across the housewares retail spectrum. These retail buyers came together to view and vote for the hundreds of outstanding products entries. Judges included key personnel from leading names, such as John Lewis, Lakeland, House of Fraser, Steamer Trading, Debenhams, Argos, Dunelm, Fenwick, Harrods, Leekes, Lords, Home Hardware, Ulster Stores and leading independent specialist cookshops.
This year, Global Knives, who will be joined in the Iconic Award category by Index, Kilner, Mason, Soda Stream and Zyliss, will spark a fierce competition to win the prestigious award according to Sophie Newton, Brand Manager for Global Knives. She says, ‘Everyone at I.Grunwerg is delighted that Global has reached the finals. We are having an incredible year already, celebrating the 30th Anniversary of a brand that is known, not only for its outstanding performance in the kitchen, but also because of the knife’s seamless design and dots on the handle, which is recognised by food lovers and chef’s all over the world. There is no doubt that Global Knives are one of the biggest iconic brands in the industry and I hope this is recognised when they decide the winner.’
The winners of this year’s prestigious Excellence in Housewares Awards will be revealed at the Awards Ball on 7th October in London.
